Kappa belongs to the Basic Net SpA group, an Italian company based in Turin and also owner of the Robe di Kappa and Superga1 brands. Today, the company is one of the main equipment suppliers to Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 clubs, Italian Calcio Serie A, Top 14, and is also present, among others, in cycling, handball and volley ball. The Italian brand has become the challenger of the biggest brands like Adidas, Nike or Puma in the field of sport in Europe.

In 2004, the K-way brand was taken over by the Basic Net SpA1 group.
